Guide
How to choose an AI production company for a fashion brand.
Seven things to check before hiring, and the questions to ask in the first meeting. Written by [YURINEHUEN] from Buenos Aires.
Before you start
Producing with AI is now common. Producing well is not.
Almost any studio can show one striking image. What separates a campaign from a test is holding the brand, the garment and the character across every piece, and finishing them like a real production. These seven points help tell the difference.
The checklist
Seven things to check.
1. That it starts from your real garment
Ask to see a garment you know next to the image produced. Prints, labels, trims and fit have to match. If the garment changes between images, the campaign sells something that does not exist.
2. A series, not one image
Ask for a whole series from the same project: same character, same light, same garment from the first frame to the last. That is the hardest part, and the one a single image hides.
3. Who directs
A campaign needs someone who decides what the brand should look like and stands by it. Ask who directs the project and what else they have directed.
4. Post-production
Raw generation shows: skin, hands, text, light that does not match. Ask whether VFX, color and editing are part of the work, and who does them.
5. Published work you can verify
Look for real brands using the pieces: in their store, their feed, their campaign. A reel of loose images says less than one brand that used the work.
6. Formats for every market
One of the real advantages of producing with AI is making every version each market and platform needs without reshooting. Ask how many formats and versions are part of the delivery.
7. What you can use, and where
Agree in writing which files are delivered and where they can be used: store, social, out of home, paid media, which countries and for how long.
In the first meeting
Five questions to ask.
- Can I see a whole series from one project, not just the best images?
- What do you need from my garments or products to start?
- Who directs, and who does color and post-production?
- Which formats and versions are included in the delivery?
- Where and for how long can I use the files?
How we do it
This is how we work at [YURINEHUEN].
We start from the real brand and garment, direct every series as one piece, finish it with VFX, color and post-production, and review it before it reaches the brand. The work is on this site.
